Break-Ups and Engagements

So, today, the coolest woman in history, my friend Dani, came to school clearly distruaght and doing something she never does.

Wearing her glasses.

My first thought was “Hmm… something’s up,” then came the usual “God, she’s stunning” that comes with anytime I see her.

Anyways, something was clearly wrong, so because I’m nosy and I hate it when she’s not hyper and being the crazy irish woman I know and love, I asked what was up. Her response was that if she told me, we’d have to walk (at the time we were surrounded by friends who I’m less acquainted with). So naturally I said okay, and we began to walk away from the group. Once we had reached a distance of about 40 feet from the other people, she began to speak. I’ll not bore you with the details. In short, she had to break up with her boyfriend because her parents freaked out about something, I’m not entirely sure as to what. But as we were walking, her voice began to waver, and her eyes welled up a little bit. And it was one of the most painful things to look at in my entire life.

But not one tear fell. No crying. She recollected herself, and we arrived at the group we were at no less than five minutes ago. She was the first to walk toward the wall and go sit. But for some reason, I couldn’t move for about 15 seconds. I was blown away. If it had been me in her position, I would have been balling my eyes out.

So, Dani, I have to say this. You are one hell of a strong woman. I am a lucky man to have met you and have you as a friend. I love you, girl.

In other news, Eric Tomorrow, host of the Mediocre Show and the new Hope Tomorrow are all ‘gaged up! I wanted to congratulate them. Took you guys long enough…

Bucket o’ dicks.
